1. I am a musician. Music is my passion and the love of my life (so far). I play piano, alto and soprano saxophones, clarinet, and a little bit of flute. I love performing, whether with a band, jazz band, combo, or solo, and I love sharing what makes me happy with other people. I hope to be a music performance major one day and be a member of the Utah Wind Symphony. :)
2. I am a daydreamer. Ever since I was little I have loved playing pretend, and I imagine all sorts of fantasies and adventures for myself even when I'm almost grown up. I like to make analogies between myself, the different parts of my life, and how they relate to the larger scheme of things. Hence, I am like the butterfly tree that grows in my front yard, and all my thoughts and ideas and experiences are the leaves of my branches that I let fall to share with you blog-readers. :)
3. Friends! I have the best ones, ever. And I am entirely confident in that statement, because it is absolutely true. I <3 bandies and nerds, and basically just cool people who make me laugh and love me too. :D
4. Reading is something I also love to do. While I'm crazy busy most of the time nowadays, I do enjoy the times I get to sit down to a good book. Favorite genre? I love dystopian novels and epic fantasy. Check out Brandon Sanderson, Orson Scott Card, and Brandon Mull. HEART <3
5. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I love the Lord, love the gospel, and truly believe that its teachings will bring me closer to Christ and ultimately to happiness in this life and beyond.
6. I am currently a senior at Orem High School and I'm livin' it up. :) I've always loved school, and Orem High is an all-around great place to be. After high school I plan to go to BYU and earn a bachelor's in saxophone performance. I'm so excited!
7. Music round two. :) I love composing my own music, especially for the piano. I like playing around and figuring out how to develop my ideas, and I just like playing in general and being able to take liberties. I also like writing, which ties in because writing with words is a lot like writing with notes. It just has to COME, and I love it when it does!
8. Family. I love them, enough said.
